Is CapTableFree really free?
Yes, 100% free. No credit card required, no hidden fees, no trial period. We make money through optional partnerships and enterprise features, not by charging startups.
How do you make money if it is free?
We earn referral fees from 409A providers, law firms, and financial services when you choose to use them. We also offer paid enterprise features (SSO, audit logs) for large companies and optional premium support packages.
Is there a limit on shareholders?
No limits. You can have 10 shareholders or 10,000. We will never charge you based on stakeholder count.
Can I import data from Carta or Pulley?
Absolutely! We support importing from Carta, Pulley, Eqvista, and standard CSV/Excel formats. Our team can also help with migration at no cost.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use bank-level encryption (AES-256), SOC 2 compliant infrastructure, and regular security audits. Your data is backed up continuously and you can export it anytime.
Do you support 409A valuations?
We integrate with leading 409A valuation providers. You can request a valuation directly from your dashboard, or bring your own valuation.
What about ESOP and option management?
Full ESOP support including option pool tracking, grant management, vesting schedules, and exercise tracking. We also integrate with 409A providers for strike price compliance.
Can I export my data?
